Visited ACRES (Animal Concerns Research & Education Society, if i'm not wrong) from 2nd to 4th. Went there with Ong and Evan! We helped to paint the cages because they are finally going to be allowed to take in animals from the wildlife which require attention and medical help. Frankly speaking, it was a tad too boring and it seemed like there were a million cages to paint. We felt as though we were never going to finish painting them! But I am proud of my work as I think we accomplished quite a lot!
Quite glad that I could at least spare a few days for volunteer work this holidays because during the school term, it's like killerrrr.
Haha I remember on the 3rd day, it was raining really heavily and the place was almost flooded. There were these 3 guys who went to paint too and were trying to sweep all the water out of the place, but in actual fact, the water was entering the place where we were working! So we were all quite -.-
Anyway! It was a great experience. Those animal enthusiasts live in that ulu place 24/7 with minimal luxuries, but they genuinely enjoy what they are doing and that is highly admirable! :D

Lunch with Mrs Yee (my primary 4 english & form teacher by the way)!
After not seeing her for close to 4 years, it was in a way, a nostalgic and memorable meet-up. We just spent so much time indulging in reminiscence of the days when we were both still members of NYPS. She is still the wonderfully nice person that she has always been and it's making me miss her so much now!
& her 3-year-old daughter, Isabel is such a joy to be around. She has huge eyes and an extremely lovable personality, not to mention her intellect and sense of humour! (:
We went for lunch at Cafe Cartel and then headed over to Bishan Library where we headed straight for the children's collection. Haha I read quite a few books to Isabel and it turns out that she loves aliens, scary stuff and whatnot!
Hopefully I'll see Mrs Yee again some time soon! She says that perhaps she will ask Jen Yi, Pei Yuan and I to go to her house and she will whip something up for us. I sure am looking forward to that!

You have no idea how excited I was when she FINALLY told me that (I pleaded with her thrice). I must really thank the Lord for answering my prayer though it was last minute! This truly demonstrates that He will answer our prayers, but in His own time!
Although I'm only going for camp on 2 out of the 4 days because I have other stuff to go for, I am nonetheless immensely grateful for this opportunity.
Looking forward to Tuesday & Wednesday!
Obviously coherence has completely boycotted me today but whatever. I am feeling happy! :D :D
